A map and directions are on our website, aspenelks.com.

Archery – Noon – 3:30pm
Range will be at ½ AS Ranch, Basalt
Cindy Poorman, who will run the event for the VA has asked for 4 to 6 volunteers per day, preferably with archery experience. Cindy will go over archery safety each day and there will be a range officer from the VA onsite. We are planning on 4 targets at 10 yards with the same backstops as last year.
Note: As last year, Archery participants will arrive around 11:30am and have lunch before instruction and practice.
Volunteers assist Cindy as directed.
Location: Basalt, at the fishing site, (see driving directions and map).

Gondola/Cat Ride – Before lunch this year. Buses to arrive on E. Dean Street at 9:30 – 10am for transfer to Gondola and Aspen Mtn. Snowcat tour, cat availability and weather permitting.
Volunteers assist unloading the buses and getting everyone to the Gondola for the trip up the mountain. SkiCo Guest Services along with Aspen Mountain Patrol help load the wheelchairs onto the Gondola.
Note: SkiCo has asked that we limit the number of wheelchairs to 10 per day.
Buses will then park at the Lodge on Hyman between Galena and Hunter.
After the tour guests will make their way to the Lodge for lunch with help from Volunteers or reload the buses for transport to the Lodge.

Lunch at the Lodge – 1:30pm – After the cat tour this year.
Volunteers set up, serve and help cleanup and should arrive around 11:30am or as directed by Kelly Beal, Lodge Manager.
This is a terrific opportunity to sit down with a Veteran, thank them for serving, and visit over lunch. You’ll be surprised what you can learn.

Snowmass Lunch – 8am – 2pm – Top of Village – Setup, cook, serve and help cleanup. This is the largest group we have served over the past few years, probably due to George’s bread pudding. Last year, George and his crew cooked for more than 200 per day at the cross country and alpine ski site in Snowmass.
Some preparation work may be necessary at the Lodge prior to lunch each day.
